HealthCheck Provider
Education System
This
Web site presents the HealthCheck Provider Education System
for use by DC health professionals as a:
- Self-directed
online learning experience.
- Review
of important HealthCheck and EPSDT requirements and services.
- Source
for current information and updates .
The HealthCheck
Training includes the following:
- A Pediatric Preventive Care/EPSDT Curriculum (See
the navigation bar at the left)
- The
curriculum is divided into 4 Sections (Overview, Health
Supervision, Special Health Issues, and Documentation).
- Each
Section contains an introduction and several descriptive
learning Modules .
- Supporting EPSDT and Child Health Resources (See
the navigation bar above)
- These
resources include access to materials specifically related
to HealthCheck/EPSDT and to other informational sources
including AAP and CDC.
- Users
are also given the opportunity to provide feedback about
the site through the Guestbook and FAQs.
- HealthCheck Program Information (in the At-a-Glance
box on the left navigation
bar)
- Access
to the Standard Medical Record Forms (SMRFs), HealthCheck
manual, and periodicity schedule are available.
- Important
administrative and explanatory information is presented
within many sections and modules of the curriculum.
- Additional Trainings (see links on left or top navigation)
- SMRF Training (30 minutes)
- Top 10 Tips for Completing SMRFs (15 minutes)

- To access supporting

bar at the top of each page.
- A series of previous | next links
at the top and bottom of each page provides internal site navigation.
- Pull-down
menus labeled "Specific Visits" in
the curriculum provide access to additional information appropriate
for each health visit.
- Links throughout
the curriculum provide access to relevant resources or materials
(e.g., periodicity schedule, contact information, publications). THESE LINKS ARE PROVIDED AS ADDITIONAL INFORMATION; YOU DO
NOT NEED TO FOLLOW ALL LINKS TO COMPLETE THE CURRICULUM.
