The 15 Month Visit

  • Measure and record the child's length, weight, weight-for-length, and head circumference.
  • Plot on the CDC Growth Charts.
  • Share the information with the family.
  • Examine the child's feet and observe his walking and gait.
  • Reassure the family about normal variations.

Mini SunrisePerform a comprehensive physical examination and note the following components during the 15 month visit:

  • Eyes
    • Pupils for red reflexes
    • Cover/uncover test for conjugate ocular mobility
  • Mouth
    • Caries
    • Plaque and staining
    • Demineralization (white spots)
  • Neurologic
    • Interaction with provider
    • Stranger avoidance
