Physical Examination: Specific Visit

The 15 Month Visit |
- Measure
and record the child's length, weight, weight-for-length, and
head circumference.
- Plot on the CDC Growth Charts.
- Share the
information with the family.
- Examine the
child's feet and observe his walking and gait.
- Reassure
the family about normal variations.
Perform
a comprehensive physical examination and note the following components during the 15 month visit:
- Eyes
- Pupils for red reflexes
- Cover/uncover test for conjugate ocular mobility
- Mouth
- Caries
- Plaque and staining
- Demineralization (white spots)
- Neurologic
- Interaction with provider
- Stranger avoidance
